All About the Ottawa Improv Festival
Prepare to laugh and have fun as you witness hilarious comedy created on the spot!
The Ottawa Improv Festival, or OIF, is an annual improvised comedy festival that features hilarious and talented local, national and international performers. The festival’s vision is to inspire the Ottawa community to expand and grow the art of improv by offering awe-inspiring shows, world-class workshops and collaborative networking spaces.

OIF is produced by The Improv Embassy, Ottawa’s theatre school dedicated to improv comedy.
How can I participate in OIF 2026?
Submit your improv troupe to the festival before February 15th, 2026 to try your luck for a spot in the fest. You can find the submission form here.
Come see a show! The 2026 Festival takes place from May 28th to May 30th, for three full nights of hilarious acts.
